Telephone communication in Azerbaijan was established in 1881 by the Nobel Brothers’ Society with the construction of the first telephone line.
Through the years, important steps have been taken to establish communications in all cities and villages of the republic. In August 1992, Aztelecom Production Association was established on the basis of the Telephone Communications Production Association to provide a range of telecommunication services in all regions of the republic.
Given the need and desire of the population for the Internet in the regions, Aztelecom’s Internet service provider was established in 2004.
In order to ensure the comfort of the population, today Aztelecom LLC implements various projects and activities in the direction of providing broadband Internet services in the regions of the country, except for Baku city and Nakhchivan AR.
Currently, Aztelecom LLC combines 57 local telecommunications enterprises (including Ganja Telecommunications Center), International Automatic Telephone Exchange (IATE) and Cable Infrastructure Service Center (CISC) under its management.
