74th International Astronautical Congress
Baku will host the 74th International Astronautical Congress on 2–6 October 2023. Baku city won the right to host the International Astronautical Congress during the elections to the General Assembly of the International Astronautical Federation in Washington D.C., the US capital in October 2019.
The 74th Congress, to be held in partnership with Azercosmos and the International Astronautical Federation, will feature conferences, more than 190 technical sessions and exhibitions. The event will be attended by representatives from space agencies, the public sector, investors and private space companies, and representatives from local and international media organisations.
The International Congress “Global Challenges and Opportunities: Give Space a Chance” will provide an open forum to exchange views on new ideas and cutting-edge solutions shaping the future of the space industry. The event will provide an opportunity for all guests and participants to discuss ways to enhance the development of the space industry, global trends, partnerships and cooperation in the field of space innovation.
Booths of space agencies and companies from various countries will be displayed in a 7,800-square-meter exhibition pavilion to be built at Heydar Aliyev Center and Baku Congress Center.
