The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) has implemented a project to admit Azerbaijani citizens to the Russian Transport University for 2024–2025 academic year based on the quota allocated by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
On 24 October, Technology and Innovation Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, which is led by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, held its regular meeting. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Secretariat of the Commission, the head and members of the working group and representatives of the private sector.

The Caucasus and Central Asia 2024 hackathon was held in Kazakhstan within the framework of cooperation with Google. The Azerbaijani startup FarmForward took the 3rd place in the hackathon organized in Astana. More than 120 participants from 7 countries competed in the competition. The founder of the startup Altun Tarverdiyev was awarded by hackathon organizers.
Aztelecom LLC established a fibre optic network based on GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) technology in Hokmeli, Gobu, Yeni Gobu, Yukhari Guzdek, Atyali, Ashaghi Guzdek, Pirekashkul, Chayli, Gobustan, Masazir, Saray, Jeyranbatan, Novkhani, Mehdiabad, Fatmayi, Goradil, Mahammadli settlements of Absheron district and Khirdalan city, as well as in Sulutepa and Chichek settlements of Binagadi district.
Elections to the Public Council of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport were held at the ministry’s administrative building on 19 October 2024. 104 out of 132 registered representatives from civil society institutions took part in the voting.
An event called World Congress 2024, organized by the International Road Federation (IRF), was held in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 15–18 October this year.
