A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MDDT) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) as part of COP29 event taking place in Baku today.
Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Mammadov took part in the event entitled “Developing efforts to triple the use of nuclear energy by 2050” as part of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) taking place in Baku.
This is the fourth day that the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) has been taking place in Baku. The efforts made towards prevention of climate change, the progress achieved are evaluated, and the best solutions are discussed.
According to the agreement, it is planned to establish local production in Azerbaijan by 2030 and gradually increase the localization level to 40%.
