Azerpost LLC has held a briefing on the results of 2024.

Speaking at the briefing, Acting Chairman of the Board of Azerpost LLC Isi Mustafayev provided information on the work done by the institution in 2024, as well as its financial results.

He noted that Azerpost, which moved on to the renewal stage in 2021 and aims to develop in the field of digital solutions, has successfully tested and launched three major projects in 2024.

Thus, in 2024, the company launched AzPostMobile application for individuals, Internet banking service for legal entities and Mobile POS service for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. The listed digital solutions not only allow users to quickly and conveniently perform their work online, but also improve the quality of service.

Speaking about the organization of postal work in the country, Isi Mustafayev stressed that regular reconstruction work has been carried out in Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions since 2020. Thus, in 2020, a post office was established in Hadrut and later in Jojug Marjanli. Moreover, in 2022, postal services were provided in Aghaly village of Zangilan region. Khankendi postal branch was established in 2023 and its full commissioning was completed in 2024. Recently, Shusha postal branch with AZ5800 index was put into operation in the building of the State Services Center in Shusha city.

Providing information on financial indicators, Isi Mustafayev said that the annual income of the institution in 2024 was AZN 73.5 million, which is two percent more compared to the corresponding period of last year. Last year net profit was AZN 4.5 million and EBITDA was AZN 9.9 million. During the last 3 years, the institution has been ending the year with net profit and ensuring financial stability.

The head of the institution noted that in 2024 Azerpost also attached special importance to international cooperation. Thus, Azerpost participated in a number of business meetings and forums at international and regional levels, was represented at international philatelic exhibitions in order to exchange experience and development. Azerpost, which recently initiated an event on transport and advanced electronic data for European and CIS countries organized by the Universal Postal Union in Baku, also announced the next “Leaders’ Meeting” event of the global postal sector to be held in Baku in May.

Answering the questions of media representatives, the head of the institution noted that the renewal processes started by Azerpost  in the last  three years, as well as improvement of new services created will be continued in the future, and a new development strategy for 2026– 2030 will be prepared.
