About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev paid visit to Georgia

Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev has paid a working visit to Georgia.

During the visit, he met with First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili.

During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport, including passenger transportation by rail.

They also exchanged views on taking regular measures for the efficient organization of cargo transportation from China to Europe and in the opposite direction.
