About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev has met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment and Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, who is on a visit to our country.

During the meeting, the possibilities for cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport were discussed.

The sides exchanged views on the participation of the Azerbaijani side in infrastructure projects implemented in Pakistan’s road transport sector.
