2025 was a year of accelerated digital transformation in the country:
- The Digital Development Concept was officially approved, establishing the roadmap for Azerbaijan’s digital future.
- The “Online Azerbaijan” project was successfully completed, ensuring nationwide stable broadband internet coverage.
- The “MyGov” platform surpassed 2 million users.
- Inter-agency data exchange exceeded 2 billion transactions.
- The application of artificial intelligence in legislative processes began with the launch of the “E-qanun.ai” platform.
- The Artificial Intelligence Academy commenced operations.
- Global IT company “Andersen Lab” officially opened its center in Azerbaijan.
Baku has become a hub for global digital dialogue:
- The Global Youth Summit brought together thousands of young participants.
- From 17 to 28 November, Baku hosted the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC 2025), further affirming Azerbaijan’s leadership on the global digital agenda.
- Azerbaijan was elected to the governing councils of the Universal Postal Union.
- An Azerbaijani representative was elected President of the World Association for the Development of Philately.
2025 was a year of modernization in the transport sector:
- A high-level conference on transport issues was held, and Azerbaijan assumed the presidency of the International Transport Forum Summit.
- From 22 to 24 October, meetings and the Council session were held in Baku as part of the International Transport Forum.
- Payment options via CityCard, NFC, and mobile devices were introduced in the public transport system.
- Over 600 new buses were put into operation across the country.
- The country’s first locally produced electric bus was put into operation.
- Baku welcomed its first female bus drivers.
- The unified “AYNA MaaS” platform, providing route selection and real-time transport information, was launched.
Thus, 2025 was a year of strengthening the digital economy, advancing “smart” and sustainable transport, and enhancing international trust and leadership.
