On 4 June, the annual session of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Council began its work in Geneva (Switzerland). Our country is represented at the session by the delegation of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

As part of the pilot project “China–Europe Direct Express Crossing – Trans-Caspian Test Transportations”, the first test transportations are being carried out. Three cargo vehicles dispatched from China arrived in Azerbaijan today.
On 22–24 May, Leipzig (Germany) hosted a summit of the International Transport Forum (ITF) dedicated to the topic of green transport (ITF Summit 2024). It should be noted that the ITF has more than 1,500 participants, including transport ministers and representatives of a number of international organizations. Azerbaijan, the second vice-president of the forum, was represented for the first time by a national pavilion at the exhibition organized by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and with the support of COP29 Operating Company within the framework of the summit.
In order to strengthen international solidarity in international activities to combat climate change, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on 25 December 2023 to declare 2024 the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World”.
On 15–16 May, Azerbaijan hosted the conference GSMA M360 Eurasia of the World GSM Association (GSMA) for second time. The conference took place with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) and general sponsorship of Azercell Telecom LLC.
