Rashad Nabiyev met with Ookla’s President

Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with Stephen Bye, President and CEO of Ookla, who is on a visit to Baku.

Cooperation in the field of ICT and the implementation of joint projects were discussed during the meeting.

Stephen Bye stated that over the past four years in Azerbaijan, access to broadband internet has increased fourfold, describing it as a significant indicator.

Ookla’s president emphasized that internet service quality indicators in Azerbaijan are assessed by operators and providers through the use of the Speedtest tool. He noted that, according to the results, the median speed of fixed broadband internet has doubled over the past year.
