About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Ministry’s staff visited Khojaly Genocide Memorial

On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide, the staff of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport visited the memorial erected in Khatai district of Baku city in memory of the victims of the tragedy.

The staff of the ministry, with deep respect honoring the cherished memory of the victims of the tragedy, laid flowers at the Khojaly Genocide Memorial.
