Ministry of Digital Development and Transport holds event on occasion of professional holiday

According to the relevant order signed by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, 6 December is celebrated in our country as the professional holiday of communication and information technology workers.

An event dedicated to the professional holiday was held at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Farid Ahmedov spoke at the event and congratulated the workers in this sphere on this occasion.

The deputy minister spoke about the successes achieved and the plans for the future.

Farid Ahmedov said that our main task for this year is to build transport infrastructure and establish telecommunications network in our territories liberated from occupation. Certain results have been achieved in this direction.

The deputy minister noted that we, as a ministry, are facing important tasks and new goals. We must continue to work quickly and efficiently in the relevant area in the liberated territories.

“We have to implement our plans towards developing the transport industry in the country, expanding the application of digital transformation, equipping the entire country with a broadband network by the end of 2024. In other words, there is a lot of work and projects that we have to do and implement together,” the deputy minister said.

After the speech, Deputy Minister Farid Ahmedov presented certificates of merit to the employees awarded on the occasion of the professional holiday and the 141st anniversary of the establishment of telephone communication in our country.
