About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan, Kang Kyumgu.

The meeting focused on the activities of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea, as well as preparations for its upcoming session.

The meeting included an exchange of views on expanding cooperation in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digitalization, as well as organizing direct flights between the two countries and exploring opportunities for Korean companies to actively engage in Azerbaijan.
