About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with Deputy CEO of DP World

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with Yuvraj Narayan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of DP World, a company specializing in port services and free trade zones, in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation in the digitalization of ports and logistics corridors, the implementation of smart transport systems and data-driven mobility solutions, opportunities for establishing a joint venture, and investment matters.

In addition, there was an exchange of views on modernizing infrastructure through the integration of maritime, rail, and road logistics, as well as on the transition to cargo transportation using block trains operating on fixed schedules.
