Minister Rashad Nabiyev Meets with UN-Habitat Executive Director

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with Ms. Anacláudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), on the sidelines of the International Transport Forum (ITF) Summit.

The meeting focused on the growing partnership between Azerbaijan and UN-Habitat, particularly on strengthening cooperation in urban development and climate action in the context of the Ministerial Meeting co-organized within COP29. Views were also exchanged on the preparatory work for the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in Baku, as well as on the event’s expected contribution to the global urban agenda.

Information was provided on Azerbaijan’s urban development and transport transformation programmes, including measures in sustainable mobility, digital urban governance, the expansion of public transport, and the creation of an inclusive urban environment.
