About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev Meets with the Management of Ülemiste City Technology Park in Estonia

As part of his visit to Estonia, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with the management of Ülemiste City, one of the leading technology and business hubs in the Baltic region.

The meeting focused on further expanding technology park operations in Azerbaijan, strengthening the existing innovation infrastructure and enhancing business opportunities for technology companies.

The sides also exchanged views on opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Estonian and Azerbaijani companies, gain access to each other’s markets and share expertise.
