About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev Meets with Brookfield Asset Management CEO

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with Connor Teskey, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Brookfield Asset Management, as part of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.

The meeting discussed investment opportunities in transport and logistics, port infrastructure, digital infrastructure and data centres. In view of the company’s global partnership opportunities, an exchange of views was held on identifying potential joint investment projects and developing a portfolio of investment projects.
