About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev meets with Ambassadors of Israel, Belarus, and Switzerland

Today, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel, Belarus, and Switzerland to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the expansion of cooperation between the countries in the fields of transport and logistics, the enhancement of international freight and transit opportunities, as well as prospects for joint activities in digital innovation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and satellite technologies.

They also exchanged views on initiatives related to professional training, exchange of experience and knowledge, and the establishment of training centers.
