About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev is on working visit to China

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev paid a working visit to China.

During the visit, the minister met with the heads of China’s leading logistics companies operating on the Middle Corridor and provincial officials.

The meeting discussed the organization of transportation along the Middle Corridor, the work done to improve the capacity of infrastructure and cooperation with neighboring countries.

The Chinese representatives stated that the speed of transportation along the Middle Corridor has recently increased, and there has been progress in quality indicators.
