About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev Attended Opening of Andersen Lab’s Official Center in Azerbaijan

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev attended the opening of the official center of the global IT company Andersen Lab in Azerbaijan.

During the meeting with young professionals hired by Andersen Lab, participants exchanged views on opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills in real projects.

During the event, it was noted that the new center will support the development of Azerbaijan’s ICT potential, broaden young professionals’ participation in international projects, and contribute to the export of digital services.
