MDDT Holds Event Dedicated to the 103rd Anniversary of the Birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev

A commemorative event dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT). The event began with the laying of flowers in front of the bust of the distinguished statesman in the Ministry’s administrative building.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev highlighted the rich and multifaceted legacy of the National Leader. He emphasized that the formation of the strong foundations of statehood in independent Azerbaijan, the definition of its economic development course, and the strengthening of its international standing are the result of Heydar Aliyev’s visionary policy.

The Minister noted that thanks to the determination of the National Leader, Azerbaijan entered a period of stability and sustainable development. The Great Leader identified the development of communications, information technologies, and transport as key priority areas. As a result of this policy, Azerbaijan has become a transport and communications hub of the region.

The reforms implemented and the important steps taken during that period laid the foundation for the country’s current development. The development course defined by Heydar Aliyev is successfully continued today by President Ilham Aliyev.

It was noted that large-scale reforms implemented in the fields of communications, information technologies, and transport serve the country’s sustainable development. The expansion of digital government services and strategies in the field of artificial intelligence are accelerating Azerbaijan’s integration into the global digital economy. The establishment of modern telecommunications and transport infrastructure in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation is also among the priority directions of state policy.

In conclusion, it was noted that Azerbaijan has further developed its economic, political, diplomatic, military, and cultural potential, becoming a leading country in the South Caucasus.
