ICAO holds workshop on flight safety in Baku
On 16–20 October, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is holding a flight safety workshop in Baku on “Safety Intelligence and Safety Performance Management”.
Thus, Azerbaijan is once again hosting an important international event in the field of aviation.
The workshop is attended by representatives of 16 countries, including domestic aviation specialists, as well as representatives of Boeing Airlines.
At the opening ceremony, representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the State Civil Aviation Agency informed participants about modern projects implemented in the transport sector, development directions of our national aviation and international commitments. It was reported that the results of the workshop will contribute to ensuring flight safety in international civil aviation, including the development of the State Programme on Flight Safety in our country.
Ruviana Zimmerman, Associate Analysis Officer – SIMS Focal Point, from ICAO Headquarters in Montreal and Arkady Merkulov from ICAO Paris Office participated in the workshop as speakers and panelists.
