ICAO Council President delivered lecture at National Aviation Academy

President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Salvatore Sciacchitano is on a visit to Azerbaijan on June 7–9.

As part of the visit on June 8, Salvatore Sciacchitano visited the National Aviation Academy of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC and gave an interesting lecture to students. Also, the high guest met with the leadership of the Academy, viewed the conditions created at the academy and the Pilot Training Center.

On the same day, ICAO Council President visited the Air Traffic Directorate Azeraeronaviqasiya and familiarized himself with the activities of the institution. The guest was provided with detailed information on further plans for the development of the air navigation system of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the visit, Salvatore Sciacchitano is accompanied by Nicolas Rallo, Director of ICAO’s  European and North Atlantic Office and the management of the State Civil Aviation Agency.

It should be recalled that during the visit on June 7, ICAO Council President Salvatore Sciacchitano met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov. During the meeting, they exchanged views in detail on the work done in the field of civil aviation development and aviation security in Azerbaijan.
