Deputy Minister took part in IRF World Congress 2024
An event called World Congress 2024, organized by the International Road Federation (IRF), was held in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 15–18 October this year.
Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Javid Gurbanov took part in the ministerial meeting, as well as in the exhibition and plenary discussions held within the framework of the event.
Addressing the ministerial meeting, Deputy Minister Javid Gurbanov provided detailed information on the work done in our country to ensure road safety, encourage the use of environmentally friendly vehicles, as well as improve technical rules for vehicles.
Recalling that Azerbaijan will host the COP29 event, the deputy minister said that important decisions and commitments will be made here to create a global sustainable transport system with lower emissions. At the same time, Javid Gurbanov emphasized that the Middle Corridor supports more sustainable transport initiatives.
Within the framework of the event, the deputy minister held bilateral meetings with Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye, and Erhan Arikli, Minister of Transport and Development of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. During the meeting, priority areas of cooperation between the countries in the field of transport and logistics were discussed, and views were exchanged on issues of mutual interest.
