Cybersecurity Awareness Training Held at Special Boarding School
A cybersecurity awareness training was organized at Republican Special Boarding School No. 3 for children with disabilities. The event was held on the initiative of the KOICA Alumni Association (KOAZ) in Azerbaijan, with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and organized by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport as part of the “Cyber Care for Children” grant project.
As part of the training, presentations were delivered on “Protecting Personal Data Online,” “Cybersecurity Basics,” and “Developing Digital Skills.” Children were taught about personal data and ways to protect it, safe use of the internet and social media, potential online threats, and cyber hygiene practices. The training also provided detailed guidance on how to enhance digital skills.
Children’s questions were answered, and interactive discussions were conducted. At the conclusion of the event, participants were presented with certificates and various gifts.
The “Cyber Care for Children” project aims to ensure the safety of children with disabilities, orphans, and those deprived of parental care in the digital environment. It seeks to raise awareness about cybersecurity, develop digital skills, and educate children on protecting personal data while using the internet.
