“Cyber Care for Children 2” Project Launched

The “Cyber Care for Children 2” grant project has been launched on the initiative of the KOICA Alumni Association of Azerbaijan (KOAZ), with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. Within the framework of the project, an awareness-raising training session was held at the Republican Special Boarding School No.5 for children with disabilities.

During the training, students with partial visual impairment were provided with detailed information on topics such as “Protection of Personal Data When Using the Internet,” “Basics of Cybersecurity,” and “Development of Digital Skills.” The session also covered personal data protection methods, safe use of social media, online threats, and cybersecurity hygiene practices. In addition, discussions were held on ways to develop modern digital skills with the aim of ensuring equal opportunities in the digital environment.

Held in an interactive format, the session included a Q&A session where the children’s questions were answered. At the end of the training, participants were awarded certificates and special gifts.

It should be noted that the “Cyber Care for Children” project aims to ensure the safety of children with disabilities, as well as those who have lost their parents or are deprived of parental care, in the digital environment, and to raise their awareness of cybersecurity, digital skills, and the protection of personal data when using the internet.
