“Cyber Care for Children 2” Grant Project Successfully Completed

The “Cyber Care for Children 2” grant project, implemented through the initiative of the KOICA Azerbaijan Alumni Association (KOAZ), with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and organized by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, has been successfully completed.

The final awareness-raising training session took place at Children’s Home Social Service Institution No. 2. During the session, children were provided with information on personal data protection, the safe use of the internet and social media, potential online threats, cyber hygiene practices, and ways to develop their digital skills.

During the interactive session, the children’s questions were addressed, and topics of interest to them were discussed in detail.

At the conclusion of the event, participants were awarded certificates and presented with gifts.

It should be noted that prior to the final session, training activities under the “Cyber Care for Children 2” grant project were held at the Republican Special Boarding School No. 5 for Children with Disabilities, Children’s Home Social Service Institutions No. 1 and No. 3, and the Child Shelter and Reintegration Center of the Azerbaijan Children Public Union. In total, 161 children aged 10–17 participated in the project’s activities.

The project aims to enhance the safety of children with disabilities and those who have lost their parents or are deprived of parental care in the digital environment, while raising their awareness of cybersecurity, digital skills, and the protection of personal data when using the internet.

At the same time, this initiative aims to support children from vulnerable groups in feeling safe in the digital environment and becoming better prepared for the future.
