Aztelecom provides Shusha city with high-speed Internet

According to the “I State Program on the Great Return to the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation” approved by relevant Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, one of the priority issues facing the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the development of telecommunications sphere in the territories liberated from occupation.

Thus, as an integral part of the restoration and reconstruction work carried out in the territories liberated from occupation, Aztelecom LLC has developed a project and installed a network for the application of GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) technology in 500 houses in Shusha city. Currently, 99 subscribers of Shusha city use the services of GPON technology. 

It should be noted that Shusha city can be contacted from other cities and regions of Azerbaijan by dialing the code “026 26”. During international calls the dialing format +994 26 26 26X XX XX is used.

Note that relevant work on the application of modern technologies to provide high-speed internet in other regions of the country is also going on as planned within the framework of the “Online Azerbaijan” project, implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

With the introduction of new GPON technology, subscribers are offered higher speed internet packages (from 30 Mbit/s to 100 Mbit/s). Subscribers who receive these packages will be able to use not only internet service, but also such packages as Internet+telephony, Internet+television (two in one), and Internet+telephony+television (three in one).
