About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Public Council Members Meet at IDDA

A meeting with members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport was held at the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA).

Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Agency’s Management Board, provided an overview of the outcomes of the first meeting of the Digital Development Council and the measures being implemented under the 2026–2028 Action Plan for Accelerating Digital Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The measures undertaken to digitalize public services, advance the adoption of artificial intelligence, strengthen the innovation ecosystem, and implement legislative reforms to support digital development were presented.

During the meeting, members of the Public Council shared their views and raised questions.
