About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Public Council Members Hold Meeting at AZAL

Members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport held a meeting at Azerbaijan Airlines Closed Joint-Stock Company (AZAL).

Samir Rzayev, President of AZAL, briefed the Public Council members on the company’s recent activities, the operation of new aircraft, personnel training, and future plans.

The Public Council members’ questions were then addressed, and it was deemed appropriate to continue holding such meetings.
