About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Public Council leadership held meeting at State Road Transport Service

Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport Siruz Abasbeyli and Deputy Chairman Galib Gurbanov have met with Chief of the State Road Transport Service Anar Rzayev.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the forthcoming hearings on “Current problems of urban mobility” to be organized by the Public Council.

The sides exchanged views on the active participation of relevant bodies and the public, the work programme and key areas.
