About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Ministry awarded for effective public participation activities

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) has been awarded an Honorary Certificate by the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Public Association Support to Information Initiatives for effective activities in the field of public participation.

In addition, Chairman of the Public Council under the MDDT Siruz Abasbeyli has been awarded an Honorary Certificate for his active involvement in public participation.
