About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)

Meeting with Public Council members held at Azercell

A meeting with the members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport was held at Azercell Telekom LLC. The meeting, attended by the company’s President, Zarina Zeynalova, and heads of its structural divisions, aimed to provide information on the work carried out in various areas at the country’s leading telecommunications company and to hear the opinions and feedback of the Public Council members.

During the event, Azercell’s management team delivered a detailed presentation on the company’s current operations and future development plans.

Public Council members took part in the discussion by sharing their suggestions and questions.

In conclusion, the significance of such meetings in promoting open dialogue and fostering effective cooperation with civil society was emphasized.
