About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Meeting with Members of Public Council Held at Aztelecom LLC

A meeting was held at Aztelecom LLC with the members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT).

The management of Aztelecom LLC briefed the Council members on recent initiatives, including the implementation of the “Online Azerbaijan” project, the provision of broadband internet across the country, and the expansion of high-speed internet access for residents and business entities in the regions. They also answered their questions.

During the meeting, the members of the Public Council shared their suggestions. It was emphasized that holding such discussions on a regular basis would be beneficial.
