About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

A regular meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport was held

The Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport held its regular meeting.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ministry Asif Ismayilov and eight members of the Council participated in the meeting.

Chairman of the Public Council Siruz Abasbeyli opened the meeting and briefed about the work done in the post-election period.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Chief of Staff Asif Ismayilov said that the Ministry would try to create all opportunities to improve the work of the Council.

Council members Osman Gunduz, Galib Gurbanov, Farhad Eyyubov, Farid Kazimov, Elnara Maharramova, Farid Pardashunas spoke about the existing difficulties and ways to solve them.

Following the meeting, it was proposed to develop an operational plan for the coming months. The proposals made by Osman Gunduz, Farid Kazimov and Farhad Eyyubov were included in the Work Plan.
