About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Winners of chess tournament organized as part of Year of Heydar Aliyev awarded

A chess tournament was organized by the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Transport, Communications and High Technology Workers as part of the Year of Heydar Aliyev.

Employees of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and its subordinate agencies took part in the tournament.

The ministry held an awards ceremony for the winners of the tournament.

Rovshan Babashov, an employee of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, took first place in the chess tournament. Orkhan Mukhtarov, an employee of Azercosmos, won the second place and the third place went to Izzat Rahimli, an employee of Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA).

The winners of the first three places were awarded diplomas and various gifts.
