The “European town” event organized in the city of Lankaran offered an opportunity to learn more about the cultures and traditions of Poland, Lithuania, Germany, Belgium, Latvia, Estonia and other EU countries.

As part of the event, the twinning project “Increasing Road Safety in Azerbaijan”, funded by the European Union and the beneficiary of which is the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, was presented at the stand of the Republic of Poland.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Azerbaijan Rafal Poborski, Head of EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko and other foreign and local officials who visited the stand were provided with detailed information about the project.

During the event, relevant work was done in line with the 3rd component of the project entitled “Human resource development, education, promotion, campaigning in the field of road safety”.

At the event, local residents and other visitors, especially children, were informed about road safety through the project. Thus, the importance of safe behavior of both drivers and pedestrians was emphasized through various road safety quizzes, drawings, Q&A sessions and other competitive-type games.

The event was of great importance in terms of educating visitors on road safety issues as part of the twinning project “Increasing Road Safety in Azerbaijan” through fun games.
