Trainings launched as part of “Be a Cyber Smart” project

The Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has organized its first training in the field of cyber security in the city of Lankaran as part of the “Be a Cyber Smart” project.

 

It should be noted that this project became the winner of the program “Share CIAT” of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

 

Family members of martyrs and veterans of the Patriotic War in the 12 –17 age bracket were involved in the training, held in the city of Lankaran with the support of the Azerbaijan Office of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), KOICA Alumni Association in Azerbaijan, Lankaran Representative Office of Youth Development and Career Center, and Public Union “Zafar” on Support for Martyrs’ Families.

 

Chief Adviser of the Strategic Analysis, Innovation & Digitalization Department of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport Lala Kerimova made a presentation on “Developing Digital Skills” at the training. Children and teenagers were given detailed information on the current situation in this field in the world, IT professions, as well as how to develop digital skills.

 

Then Chief Adviser of the International Cooperation and Coordination Sector of the Electronic Security Service Aysel Hadiyeva made a presentation on “Safer Internet”. The presentation informed the participants about the dangers they may face on the internet, ways to deal with them, and the rules of cyber hygiene that need to be observed to use the internet safely.

 

It should be noted that one of the main activities of the Electronic Security Service is to educate users in the field of cyber security, and regularly implement measures in this field.

 

As part of the “Be a Cyber Smart” project, the Electronic Security Service will organize trainings in several cities, including Lankaran, Baku and Sumgait.
