Traffic management monitoring in relation to COP29 continues

On the eve of the COP29 Conference, traffic management monitoring continues in some streets and avenues of the capital for the purpose of smooth and safe organization of transport processes on the days of the event.

The traffic monitoring measures will be simulated on the night of October 26 to 27 from 02:30 to 05:30 in accordance with the transport plan and the route of the event as a whole. During the monitoring measures, restrictions will be imposed on the movement of vehicles on Heydar Aliyev, Istiglaliyyat, Narimanov, Khatai, Tbilisi, Azadliq and Neftchiler avenues, as well as Lermontov, Teymur Elchin, Niayzi,  Nizami, Yusif Safarov, Mikayil Huseynov, Rashid Beybudov, Khagani Rustamov, Pushkin, Abdulla Shaig,  Izmir, Bakikhanov streets and Mardakan, Zikh and Airport highways. Drivers are asked to use alternative routes during these hours.

The simulation process, which will be carried out by COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency, will involve ambulances and fire engines along with COP29 cars and buses. During this period, traffic simulation will be carried out in the direction of central hotels, the airport, Baku Stadium, the venue of the event and other main directions for the movement of guests.

In addition, on 27 October, from 10:00 to 14:00, COP29-owned buses will be monitored in some streets and avenues of the capital without imposing traffic restrictions, so as not to inconvenience the public.
