About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

On July 16, 2024, the next meeting of the “Physical infrastructure” Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and international ratings will be held in the format of a video conference.

Within the framework of the meeting, it is planned to submit reports on the work done during the first half of 2024 by the organizations represented in the group on the measures they are implementing and discuss relevant issues.

In relation to the meeting to be held, citizens, including representatives of the private sector, can make proposals or raise issues related to the main topic, as well as apply to participate in the meeting of the working group through the online application section of the Commission's www.azranking.az internet portal (www.azranking.az/online-apply).
