About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

State Civil Aviation Agency’s Director Arif Mammadov awarded “Shohrat” Order

On April 17, 2020, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order to award the Order of “Shohrat” (Glory) to Arif Ahmed oglu Mammadov.

According to the Order, Arif Ahmed oglu Mammadov was awarded the “Shohrat” Order for his special services in the development of civil aviation in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that Arif Mammadov is the director of the State Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.
