About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Staff of Ministry of Digital Development and Transport visited Alley of Martyrs

On the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the 20 January tragedy, the staff of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport visited the Alley of Martyrs.

Fresh carnations were laid on the graves of our martyrs, who gave their lives for the freedom of our country, and their memories were honored.

The 20 January tragedy is not only a national tragedy, but also a glorious page in the struggle of the Azerbaijani people for independence. The first political and legal assessment of the bloody January events was given by great leader Heydar Aliyev. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to honoring the memories of martyrs and resolving social issues of martyr families.
