Shabran region provided with high-speed Internet

Aztelecom LLC has provided 53% of existing households and business entities in Shabran region with the opportunity to connect to high-speed Internet via GPON technology.

Thus, network construction was completed in Shabran city, Surra and Davachi villages. A total of 8,080 households and business entities in Shabran region have access to high-speed Internet. Currently, out of 4,957 households in Shabran city, 2,220 households and business entities use GPON services. New connections are ongoing.

With the introduction of the GPON technology, subscribers are offered higher-speed (from 30 Mbit/s to 100 Mbit/s) Internet packages (Internet, Internet+telephony, Internet+television, Internet+telephony+television).

The cost of the services varies from 18 to 54 manats depending on the selected tariff and user requirements.

To connect to the services, citizens can call 170 Call Center of Aztelecom LLC, apply to the territorial service department (address: Heydar Aliyev Ave. 4) or submit application through the website www.aztelekom.az.

Relevant work to provide high-speed Internet in other regions of the country is also underway according to the plan within the framework of the “Online Azerbaijan” project on the use of modern technologies implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

It should be noted that in 2017–2023, a total of about 2 million households and business entities in Azerbaijan got access to broadband Internet. This represents 66% of existing households and business entities in the country.
