Seoul hosts Azerbaijan–Korea business forum

An Azerbaijan–Korea business forum was held on 7 June in Seoul, South Korea, within the framework of the 3rd meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Korea.

Korean companies operating in IT, energy, construction, engineering, chemical industry, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and other sectors took part in the business forum, jointly organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), with the support from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

Speaking at the forum, Samir Mammadov, co-chairman of the commission from Azerbaijan and Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, stressed that such events will create new opportunities for expanding economic relations and mutual investments between the two countries. Korean entrepreneurs were informed about concessions applied in Alat Free Economic Zone, as well as in other industrial and technological parks in Azerbaijan, and Korean companies were invited to actively cooperate.

Presentations were made at the forum by the Special Delegation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the authorized body of the Alat Free Economic Zone and AZPROMO in the liberated territories included in the Karabakh economic region. During the presentations, participants were provided with extensive information on infrastructure projects being implemented in the liberated territories and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan.

At the event, answers were given to the questions from Korean entrepreneurs and meetings were held in the B2G format.
