Russian University of Transport Announces Scholarship Programme for Azerbaijani Citizens

As part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, a competition has been announced for various levels of education for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Successful candidates will be able to benefit from the scholarship programme of the Russian University of Transport (Российский университет транспорта – МИИТ) of the Russian Federation. The scholarship programme is aimed at training young national personnel in the field of transport in Azerbaijan.

University degrees include Bachelor’s, Specialist, and Master’s degrees. There is also a pre-university course in the Russian language. The form of study is full-time, and classes are conducted in Russian.

Provision:

  • Full payment of tuition fees
  • Monthly stipend
  • One-year free Russian language preparatory course for non-Russian speaking students.

 

The competition is open to:

  • Students who have graduated from high school, lyceum, gymnasium or those who will graduate this year
  • Students who have graduated from college and technical school or those who will graduate this year

 

Qualifying rounds:

  • Online test in Mathematics and Logic
  • Interview (in Azerbaijani and Russian)

 

Application Deadline: 10.10.2025 – 10.12.2025

Applicants who successfully pass the entrance exams and are admitted to the university will be required to submit the following documents:

  • Scanned-copy of passport and scaned-copy of notarized translation of passport into Russian
  • Scanned copies of educational documents (Certificate of Secondary Education, diplomas) and scanned copies of their notarized translations

Upon returning to Azerbaijan, students who successfully complete their studies will be given priority in employment at institutions operating in the transport sector.
