Russian University of Transport announces educational scholarship programme for Azerbaijani citizens

Based on the results of cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, a competition was announced for various levels of education for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Successful candidates can benefit from the scholarship programme of the Russian University of Transport (Российский университет транспорта – МИИТ) of the Russian Federation. The scholarship programme is aimed at training young national personnel in the field of transport in Azerbaijan.

Education degrees at the university include Bachelor’s degree, speciality and Master’s degree.There is also a pre-university courses for Russian language.The form of education is full-time. Education is conducted in Russian.

Provision:

• Full payment of tuition fees
• Monthly stipend
• 1-year free Russian language preparatory courses for non-Russian speaking students.

The competition is open to:

•  Graduates of schools, lyceums, gymnasiums, colleges, technical schools and universities (or students and pupils who will graduate this year)

Qualifying rounds:

• Online test on maths and logic
• Offline interview (in Azerbaijani and Russian)

Those who successfully pass the tests and are admitted to the university will be required to submit the following documents:

• Scanned-copy of passport and scaned-copy of notarized translation of passport into Russian
• Scanned copies of education documents (secondary education certificate, diplomas) and scanned copies of their notarized translations
• Scanned copy of medical certificate
• Scanned copy of HIV certificate.
• Application form.

The university serves as a basic platform for personnel and scientific support for the development of the transport industry.

Students who successfully complete their studies will be given preference when hiring in in transport institutions upon their return to Azerbaijan.
