Russian University of Transport announces educational scholarship programme for Azerbaijani citizens
Based on the results of cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation, a competition was announced for various levels of education for the 2024–2025 academic year.
Successful students can benefit from the scholarship programme of the Russian University of Transport of the Russian Federation. The scholarship programme is aimed at training young national personnel in the field of transport in Azerbaijan.
The university offers Bachelor’s, speciality and Master’s degrees.There is also a preparatory faculty of Russian language. The form of education is full-time. Teaching is conducted in Russian.
The scholarship programme covers the following:
Specialist's degree (5 years)
– Land technological and transport machines
– Transport construction engineering
– Composition of railway transport
– Railway operation
Bachelor’s degree (4 years)
– Land technological and transport complexes
– Transport process technologies
– Transport construction engineering
– Aeronautics
Master’s degree (2 years)
– Land technological and transport complexes
– Transport construction engineering
– Transport process technologies
– Standardization and metrology
Provision:
– Full payment of tuition fees
– Dorm (student pays $10 per month)
– Monthly stipend
– Free one-year preparatory Russian language courses for non-Russian speaking students.
Who can take part in the competition:
– Graduates of schools, lyceums, gymnasiums, colleges, technical schools and universities (or students and pupils who will graduate this year)

Qualifying rounds:
– Online Math test
– Offline interview (in Azerbaijani and Russian)
Date of receipt of applications: 15.03.2024–05.04.2024
Date of selection tests: 15.04.2024–25.04.2024.
Date of interview: 26.04.2024–10.05.2024
Date of announcement of winners: 13.05.2024
Date of submission of required document package to winners: 15.05.2024.
Registration, acceptance of documents and admission tests are conducted online.
The following documents will be required from those who have successfully passed the tests and are admitted to the university:
– Scan-copy of passport and scan-copy of notarised translation of passport into Russian.
– Scan-copies of educational documents (secondary school certificate, diplomas) and scan-copies of their notarised translations.
– A scanned copy of health certificate.
– Scan-copy of HIV certificate.

Registered candidates will take an online test and successful candidates will be invited for a live interview. Applications of successful candidates at all stages will be sent to the university.
Upon returning to Azerbaijan, students who have successfully completed their studies will be given priority in employment at the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, AZAL and Baku Metro CJSC.
