Parents Can Now Apply via “MyGov” to Register Their Sons Turning 15 for Initial Military Registration
A new digital service has been launched on the “MyGov” platform. The service for the initial military registration of male citizens turning 15 in 2026 is now available on the platform. Through this service, parents can submit applications to register their sons for initial military registration.
The service was integrated into the platform through the joint cooperation of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) and the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The service usage process consists of several stages. To access the service, a parent of a citizen of pre-conscription age should enter the “Services” section of the platform, select the “Military” category, and proceed to the “Initial Military Registration” service. On the page that opens, after entering the “New Application” section, the parent selects their child’s first name, surname, and patronymic from the fields displaying individuals who have turned 15 in the current year. At the next stage, a brief biography of the child is entered into the system. For those who completed their secondary education abroad, the relevant certificate must be attached. A contact mobile number is also provided, after which the application is confirmed and submitted.
In parallel with the process, a notification regarding the child’s medical examinations is sent to the parent’s “MyGov” account. After completing the medical examination, the citizen of pre-conscription age must personally appear before the military medical commission of the relevant structural unit of the service responsible for carrying out military registration.
To ensure transparency, parents can track the status of their submitted application through their personal accounts. Additionally, once the initial military registration process is completed, they receive a notification confirming its completion.
For your information, the paper-based certificate for initial military registration has been abolished as of this year, and the process is now carried out exclusively through the “MyGov” platform.
The service is accessible both via the my.gov.az web portal and the “MyGov” mobile application.
It should also be noted that through the “MyGov” platform, citizens can access military registration records, active service information, draft deferment details, and other military-related data entirely in digital format.
