About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

MoU Signed Between MDDT, AZCON Holding and Franklin Templeton

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT), AZCON Holding and Templeton Asset Management Ltd., a member of the Franklin Templeton group.

The document sets out a general framework for future cooperation on the establishment and management of an investment platform within the AZCON Holding portfolio.

The cooperation envisages enhancing the management and efficiency of state-owned enterprises, attracting strategic investments, and expanding opportunities for their development.
