About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Ministry’s staff visited tomb of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev

Today is the 102nd birthday of Heydar Aliyev, founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, national leader of our people.

On this occasion, the staff of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has visited the tomb of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in Alley of Honor.

The visitors laid flowers at the tomb of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and honored his memory with deep respect.

They also laid flowers at the tomb of Heydar Aliyev’s life partner, outstanding ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
